Ayer, los amigos de Cultura Hache, publicaron un reseñón de PROHIBIDO SALIR CON EL CLIENTE. La reseña viene firmada por uno de los autores que más está destacando en la actualidad: Javier Pellicer, del que ya recomendamos su novela hace pocas semanas. Os pongo un fragmento de su comentario:
Tras “Noches de sal” (de inevitable comparación), David Mateo había dejado el listón muy alto. Reconozco que temía que no pudiera superarlo, pues es bien conocida la admiración que profeso por la anterior novela del escritor valenciano (considero que raya el calificativo de “obra maestra del género”). Y debo decir que, en mi opinión personal, “Prohibido salir con el cliente” no mejora a su predecesora. Pero la iguala, y eso es mucho teniendo en cuenta la calidad de “Noches de sal”. Reafirma que estamos ante un autor en plena madurez creativa capaz de crear grandísimas obras dentro del género fantástico durante muchos años.

Por otro lado, recupero la reseña que me hizo Anika entre libros hace unas semanas. Creo que se me pasó subirla y ahora que andamos poniendo al día el blog, creo que resulta interesante recuperarla junto a la entrevista que me hizo posteriormente.
Izaskun, Louis, Eva, Sofía Regina y Lucía, Sabrina, Fabián Marcos, el padre Bessone, Nuria, Vesna, Femi, Mila, Vero... Norberto... y sobre todo, Tarquinio y Lucrecia. Son muchos los personajes que pululan por esta novela que si bien comienza en 1999, lo cierto es que tiene su origen dos mil quinientos años antes. Para llegar hasta ahí, o para basarse en algo que ocurrió en aquel entonces, David Mateo ha tenido que recrear una pequeñita parte bíblica para darle una vuelta de tuerca y convertirla en una historia de terror contemporánea.
